Vintage Christmas Alphabet from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

You know how I want to stitch as much as I can on each piece of linen before taking it off the frame. I have all kinds of “scraps” of linen that I’ve cut off other projects but since I can no longer stitch in hand, those pieces are sometimes small enough that, unless I...

Winter Cometh & Autumn Provides from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

Yesterday I finished everything on This I Know except the grass fill in and I stitched around it to measure for the frame. You can’t see the outline I stitched because it’s done in yellow thread. It’s just a basted line and that’s the line that I measure across to get the frame size and...

The Sheep Are Stitched from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

The sheep on This I Know are stitched – their bodies anyway. I hope to stitch remaining body parts today, then I can get started filling in the background. It’s hard to see them but with the background stitched, they should show up nicely. Otherwise, all I have left to stitch is the bird’s beak,...

A Stitching Hoop from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

I love my scroll frames and the lap stands that hold them but they aren’t the best for traveling. Since I don’t travel, I guess I should say . . they aren’t the best for stitching away from home. When I was at my uncle’s last year, he had a great little chair but it...

Prairie Life Sampler Progress from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

Here’s where I left off Monday night: This is where I stopped last night. I love all the different greens in the trees. I think I had left off Monday night at 8.6%. Now I’m at 13%! That’s much better than I expected but I had a lot of stitching time yesterday. We didn’t go...

Prairie Life Sampler Progress from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

This is where I was on Prairie Life Sampler when I put it away to work on the Leap Year project: I had the outline of the border finished. That last stitch there is where it met up. I worked on it a couple of times afterwards but not enough to write a blog post....

Change of Plans on Projects from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

You know how I love making plans and apparently how I love not keeping those plans . . I have to make some changes in my cross stitching plans. Changing projects often I find myself spending more time searching for what I plan to work on next or figuring out where I want to start...

Leap Day/Year Project from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

The Summer Schoolhouse project (it’s out of stock now and I don’t know if they are getting more in stock but other places may have it) is the Leap Day/Year project that several of us are working on. Denise has written several posts about her progress. She started on the far right side. I started...

Keeping Track from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

This post has Amazon affiliate links. If you purchase any of the items, I’ll make a very small commission but feel free to purchase (or not purchase) any of these items wherever you find them. A couple of weeks ago when I finished all the main stitching on This I Know, I looked at the...

Leap Day Project – Day 1 from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

I know – yesterday was Leap Day! I stopped stitching about midnight, took the picture of the project and was going to get a blog post written to post this morning and . . the internet was gone . . just not working. Without internet, we can’t make cell phone calls, we can’t use the...

Prairie Life Sampler Border from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

Last night I finished the “bones” or frame of the Prairie Life Sampler border. Almost always, I will go all the way around with the bones or frame of the border, then go back and add flowers and other motifs. Even though I count and re-count, and check everything multiple times, I’m always very happy...

Reindeer Roundup Progress from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

I don’t have red, white or black Sulky 12 wt. floss. I’ve ordered it but I stitched other colors but will be happy to get those three colors and stitch what’s needed with those. There’s going to be a cardinal sitting in the top of the tree nearest the house. The windows will be stitched...

It’s Monday! from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

This is one of those days when . . I don’t even know where to start. First, I started making breakfast and realized we don’t have any bread. How could I have made all the bread I’ve made in the last few days and there’s none in this house. I did take those last two...

Aida Stitching from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

I’ve been thinking if I had a project on aida, I could stitch that without the magnifying lamp if we were traveling or if the power was out. I’ve purchased a couple of pieces of aida and wanted to try using it. On the 21st – 25th of each month, I want to work on...

The Hometown Project (Stitching) from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

Monday, I did stitch a couple of sheep on This I Know but I really wantws to move on and work on something else so I pulled out Hometown by Teresa Kogut. I almost don’t like to mention this project on here because it’s for the Tier 4 members of Teresa Kogut’s Patreon group so...

2023 Year in Cross Stitch from Pointless Quilter

It was a good year for me with cross stitch.  I found great comfort making small and large pieces.  If you need the name of a pattern let me know and I'll look it up, but for this post I'm just going to post pictures.  These are not in any particular order.

Sugar Stitches ornaments  I bought a small white tree and some small
pink ornaments and put this up in my sewing room.

I did this in honor of my mom's dad--my favorite grandpa.  The top says Eat Well, Costs Nothing.  He
liked to say that ...

Stitching Sheep! from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

Last night I finished everything above the sheep except two stitches on the bird. I will now begin stitching on the sheep and once they’re stitched, I’ll move on to another project and save the grass fill in to stitch when I go to the stitching group in March. There are 18 sheep and I...

More This I Know Progress from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

We were fairly busy yesterday so it was late before I got started stitching yesterday. I managed to get in a bit over 400 stitches. Not sure how much stitching I’ll get done today but once I finish the flower and stem and do the last couple of “doo dads”, I’ll move on down to...

The Leaves Are Stitched from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

Last night I finished stitching the leaves in This I Know. I still have to go back and stitch the vein. There’s a little stitching shop near here and once a month we can go there and visit and stitch and shop so I’m going to save the veins and the grass around the sheep...

The April Fool’s Project from Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara

This project is proving to be the perfect April Foo’s Project and the joke is on me. Thanks, Denise, for coming up with this idea. My interpretation of this challenge was that we’d choose a project we love but, except for doing something really crazy, we would never let ourselves start on this project. I...
